In all our articles so far we have showed you some truly great and awful E3 moments. From the Twilight Princess trailer to the 600$ PS3, it’s common for announcements at the convention to toy with our emotions. For our third feature on the Electronic Entertainment Expo, 360blog.org will pull out some of the greatest moments of E3′s past and remind us all why we game in the first place. Attention gamers! It’s that time of year again, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or for you cool kids, E3, is set for June 2nd to June 4th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For those who don’t know, E3 is the worlds largest video game convention, where hundreds of companies show off, announce and let you play their newest titles and products. Now I know what you’re saying, ‘this is all fine and dandy but how can I get to Los Angeles?’. Well fear not, because 360blog.org is here with a week-long E3 special.

Forget all this touch screen and multimedia capability nonsense, back in the day all you needed to enjoy a game on the road was four AA batteries and a green screen. The original Game Boy was handheld gaming at its purest form, featuring only 2 buttons, a D-pad and a monochrome screen. The system was a best selling item from its launch in 1989 to its replacement by the Game Boy Color in 1998, in that time selling over 70 million units! Now we didn’t think it would be very fair to include GBC games in this list (we’ll get to them later), so the only condition for a game to be considered is that it had to be in black and green.
So without further ado, here are the best games from the original portable brick.

This past Monday, Nintendo released their 300th game for the Wii Virtual Console and to mark they occasion they chose the Nintendo 64 classic, The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. When it was originally released back in 2000 it was critically acclaimed and quickly earned the title of one of the system’s best game, but in this modern era of high definition graphics, huge polygon counts and perfected gameplay will this gem stand on its own or will it be lost to the flow of time?

Let me ask you this. You’re playing a game, everything seems to be going along great, your virtual hero is well on his way to save the world once again from evil and tyranny, but for some reason you just can’t seem to enjoy your adventure, and you can’t seem to figure out why. Everything is in order, your homework is done, girlfriend is out with the girls and the dog is fed, so why is it you just can’t enjoy this adventure in gaming? Well have a look at your hurting and blistered hands and you will have your answer. Video game controllers are supposed to be designed to be comfortable so we can hold on to them for hours on end and also offer a new play experience that opens up a world of possibilities, however the following 10 abominations seem to have missed the memo.

Everything that was once old is new again. It seems that everywhere we look old games are getting a face lift and modernized with new gameplay mechanics. Bionic Commando, Wolfenstein, Punch-Out and now Fire Emblem. Shadow Dragon is in fact a remake of the first game in the series titled, Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Ken, which only saw the light of day in Japan for the Famicom. has it stood up to the test of time? 360blog.org is here to give you the answer.
